Being pregnant has made me highly in tuned with my feelings. I know it’s all the hormones raging through my body that is partially to blame, but I’ve never been one to shy away from my emotions. I knew that I wanted to create a keepsake to share our story with our baby, but wasn’t sure how to do it.
The more I thought, the more I was certain… create a children’s book about our story. And that is how, The Adventures of Daniel & Melissa: How They Became a Family, was born. It’s the first book I’ve written with full illustrations. I found this great website that allows you to put your words to artist’s illustrations at a low cost. I gifted a book to each of the my girlfriends that hosted my baby shower. I even did a reading which I didn’t get through without crying.
