So when I chose my sister to be my Maid of Honor, I knew that anything she did would be nothing short of AMAZING! And boy was I right! If you know my sister, you know that she doesn’t play by the same rules as other people. No sir! She is over-the-top, no expense spared extravagant… anything less and she won’t put her Daisy stamp of approval. Well, I didn’t know just how far that meant until I received this beauty!
In this gorgeous box is my Bridal Shower/Bachelorette Party invitation! I have never seen anything like this before and of course my sister would custom make my invitations! When we began discussing themes for the bridal shower we came up with a multitude of ideas, but I knew that I wanted to keep it classic, chic and simple. This reminded me of Audrey Hepburn. Audrey Hepburn is one of my idols, I’ve adored her grace and style since watching her movies as a child. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is one of my favorite films of all time and I wanted to be as elegant and classy as Audrey.
Coming up with the theme seemed easy since it went perfectly with my engagement ring which is the “Tiffany’s Setting” and with that, MELISSA & CO. was born!
Daisy found stationer designer, Vivian Jade and together they worked on sourcing the exact fabric color as the Tiffany & Co.’s blue and the right clasps. This took months, but their efforts were worth the wait because the end result is beyond gorgeous!
The bridal shower and bachelorette party will be on the same day as I will have to travel back to the US for the festivities. When I was thinking about where to have it, I couldn’t think of anywhere else, LAS VEGAS! I know that sounds so cliche and when I was living in Los Angeles, I told myself I would never have a bachelorette party there, but being in Sweden, it seemed only fitting to have a wild night with my girlfriends! I’ve had the best memories in Las Vegas, so it was a no brainer! The bridal shower will start in the afternoon with a formal tea service at the Mandarin Oriental Tea Lounge followed by dinner and dancing!
What made this so fun was when I had to hand deliver the invitations to the girls here in Sweden! My sister had shipped the ones off in the US, but it’s a bit more tricky here so I decided to do an invitation drop! I even took video of each of the girls opening their invitations. I will not share it here since I have not received their approval, but I can tell you everyone was floored. They had never seen anything like it and they were happy to receive it!
This invitation is also a keepsake box, so I’ve been using to hold my everyday jewelry! Just like my sister to think of function and fun!
My bff and bridesmaid, Helen, had the best reaction and photo, so I had to post it! I can’t wait to celebrate with all my closest girlfriends and hopefully some soon-be-bestfriends from Sweden! Regardless of what happens next, I know we will have an amazing time sharing life long memories together in Tiffany’s style!!!
