Whenever we visit Daniel’s parents we end up coming home with more food. This time they gave us this delicious hunk of beef. I wanted to try something new and avoided my slow cooker. I started with a good rub seasoning mix of oregano, garlic salt, paprika, cheyenne, basil, thyme, freshly ground pepper and salt. I rubbed it all over the meat and let it marinate for an hour.

I used butter to sear the outside of the meat before putting it in the oven at 400 degrees for about an hour. I prefer more rare meat (45 mins), but Daniel likes his meat well done…
